We are looking to recruit a Press Assistant to work alongside our established Press crews.
The role is to cover holidays, sickness and other business needs where required.
The shift pattern is based on a 4-week rotation, rotating days & nights.
Shifts consist of 3x12hrs for 3 weeks & every 4th<\/sup> week working 4 x12 hour shift.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(13 shifts over 4-week period- average 39hours per week)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Duties:
Dual responsibility for both setting & operating the log stackers
Loading and unloading of reels on and off the press
Ensuring that procedures – covering pallet tickets, log presentation & recovery of copies are observed
Assist with preparing the press following change overs & returning the press to print conditions
Assist in weekly maintenance and cleaning of equipment. Daily housekeeping plus any other ad hoc
warehouse duties as required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ability to work using your own initiative
Good attention to detail
Mechanical aptitude
Quick to learn with a positive “can do” attitude
Flexible, enthusiastic, motivated, team player with a good work ethic
Ability to work well in a high-pressure environment & meet deadlines
Good written and verbal communication skills
Aware of the latest Health & Safety and Environmental Policies
Advantageous attributes:
NVQ Qualification relating to Printing Processes
